Benefits of Custom Aerial Photography Custom aerial photography can provide many benefits with respect to real estate marketing and other purposes. Here are just a few of those benefits: Provides views of surrounding properties and their features Potential clients, particularly those unfamiliar with the area, can see the entire site and its relation to landmarks and highway access Aerial photos make attractive covers for brochures and flyers, and they make great gifts Property boundaries can usually be determined, or photos may be used to settle boundary disputes While there are websites that offer satellite photography of real estate at lower costs or even no charge, their products are limited to straight-down views and are often not photographed at a time of day or year that may be optimal. Also, their photos are typically out-of-date. PFA strives to photograph each site at the time of day best suited for that site to provide the best effects of sunlight and minimize shadows and haze.   Type of Service Provided The type of photography offered is oblique angle using an 8 megapixel digital cameral and/or 35mm film camera. Digital photos can be provided in either a JPEG or TIFF (CMYK) format. JPEG images are typically 2.4 to 2.8 megabytes in size while TIFF images are 22.9 to 23.1 megabytes each. The types of properties photographed are commercial, industrial, residential, farm and unimproved land. The photos can be provided in the following formats: Proofs (4 x 6's or 5 x 7's) Enlargements Photo CD(s) Email (some limitations, and prepayment may be required)   Initial Photo Session The initial photo session will generally be flown on the first day of clear weather, schedule permitting. It is my goal to provide prompt, quality service! Unless specified otherwise, the photo shoot will usually be flown during the middle of the day to minimize long shadows. The site will be photographed from several angles including close-up and wide angle views. At the customer's option, the images will be delivered in the form of photo CDs or 4 x 6 proofs. CDs and proofs are labeled for reorder purposes and may be retained by the the customer. The CD(s) or proofs will usually be shipped or hand-delivered to you within 3 business days of the photo shoot. Reorders of proofs or enlargement orders will be delivered within 5 to 7 days of the order confirmation. Rush delivery is available for an additional charge. Limited email delivery of low resolution JPEG images is also available. Pricing information is available by clicking this rates page link or the "Rates" button on the left side of this page.   Photo Shoot Information To accurately photograph your site(s), we need the following information: Portion of city or county road map showing site's location and nearby road names and/or numbers Portion of county tax map (if available) or site survey showing property boundaries Description of prominent buildings or other landmarks either on the site or adjacent to the site Instructions of how site should be photographed, if specific requirements must be met Type of image format desired: JPEG, TIFF or film A properly executed contract or work order authorizing our services   Questions?
